{May 2013}  Community members, in coordination with the WISD School Board and administration, begin discussing the formation of an Education Foundation, and the positive impact it will have on the education of WISD students.

{Oct 2013}  The WISD School Board authorizes the expenditure of funds to hire Foundation Innovation--an outside non-profit organization--to assist with the formation of an education foundation and first year activities.

{Feb 2014}  Whitehouse ISD Education Foundation files its Certificate of Formation with the Texas Secretary of State, and becomes a formal legal entity with five founding board members.

{Summer 2014} The Foundation Board is filled out and board members begin meeting to plan for 2014-2015 academic year.

{August 2014}  The Foundation receives its 501(c)(3) status from the IRS.

::  Issues grants to selected WISD teachers to implement their ideas in the classroom; and

::  Collaborates with the School District, the community, and our teachers to make the academic excellence of Whitehouse schools from Pre-K through 12th grade second to none.


:: The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization organized under the laws of the State of Texas in 2014.  The Foundation was organized and will be operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.  As a result, all contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible under the Internal Revenue Code.

​::  The Foundation is run by an all-volunteer Board of Directors from the Whitehouse ISD community.  

::  The Foundation is a separate legal entity from the Whitehouse ISD School District. 

::  The Foundation is a bridge between the private resources of the community and the needs of the classroom.
